Forget the cruise liner.
Learning yoga by the sea in Crete is the latest adventure offered by a Wilmette man whose expeditions to the North Pole have become almost routine.
Rick Sweitzer has organized two, seven-day trips to Crete in October, with plans to bring along yoga instructor Joyce Englander. Those willing to shell out $2,495, which covers everything but airfare, can see small towns, kayak, and hike.
"It's life-changing in many cases," said Sweitzer, executive director of Northwest Passage (nwpassage.com), who has led several Greece trips.
"It's moving, touching, and satisfying at a minimum. Perfect weather, perfect seas. And, we bring a masseuse."
