If you have ambitions to instruct kayak clinics or guide kayak trips anywhere in the world, taking the ACA’s Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) in conjunction with the Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) will help take you there. These six day certification classes will improve your kayaking and teaching skills as well as provide an opportunity for an instructor certification.
This course is for people who are certified as a AWFA. The Bridge course is four days (36 hours) long and will upgrade your AWFA to a Wilderness First Responder. This course must be taken within three years of WAFA certification.
